Catholic Campus Ministry

A ministry of St. Mark parish; the Catholic Campus Ministry is the Newman Center that serves the students of Eastern Kentucky University. The dedicated facility is conveniently located on the edge of campus right next to Walters Hall accessible from both University Drive and Kit Carson Drive.

Every Sunday evening when school is in session, Mass is celebrated under the leadership of the pastor, Father Jim Sichko. A dedicated full time director is on staff with regular office hours to serve the students of E.K.U. and the Youth of St. Mark parish, the facility is open convenient hours to be available to the college students. The C.C.M. features a t.v. lounge with game systems, a study room, secured wireless internet, a kitchen for those students that enjoy cooking, a dedicated Eucharistic Chapel and most of all – a dedicated place for students to come and be among others of the same Catholic faith.

Our Campus Ministry is quite unique in that it is truly dedicated to our college students. 90% of our mass attendees are student and ALL of our ministries are student led.
